UKA have set the qualification guidelines for Aviva Great Britain & Northern Ireland Team the World Half Marathon Championships.

For this year’s event, the qualification guidelines for men is 65:30 and for women 74:00. The qualifying session for this event will be at the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday 6 September and the first two eligible UK senior men and women will be automatically selected provided they have achieved the guideline standard.

UKA is intending to select full teams for the World Half Marathon Championships, where five athletes can start with three to count to the team total. All performances will be considered in the qualifying period 1 October 2008 until 6 September 2009.
